September 30, 2010

DAVIE, FL – (September 16) – United Way of Broward County kicked off its giving campaign season at a networking breakfast at the Signature Grand on September 16.  The morning’s program recognized last year’s Leadership Givers and honored their commitment to improving lives in Broward County. Leadership Givers are donors contributing $1,000 or more annually to United Way initiatives.

Guests heard from fellow donors about the importance of giving back to the community and United Way of Broward County President & CEO, Jennifer O’Flannery Anderson, Ph.D. provided an update on all upcoming initiatives. The breakfast was followed by a song and dance routine from the adorable students at Davie Christian Academy.

“Leadership Giving is a powerful statement of involvement, compassion and commitment to our community,” said Dr. Jennifer O’Flannery Anderson, president & CEO of United Way of Broward County. “These donors enable us to make a real difference in Broward County. They set the highest standard of giving and know their contributions are being used in the most effective and accountable manner possible.”
