A Word for Parents

Did you know that parents are the number one prevention tool in keeping youth drug-free? The United Way of Broward County's Commission on Substance Abuse empowers family members and the community to raising resilient and drug-free youth. The Commission's Community & Family Enrichment Initiatives incorporate comprehensive, community-based strategies to substance use/abuse prevention for adults in Broward County.

Our ultimate goal is to provide parents and family members with the knowledge and resources to prevent, identify, and respond to substance use/abuse in our Broward County Youth. Our strength remains unifying community leaders, organizations, and our most important asset, parents.
