United Way of Broward County's Role During a Natural Disaster
During a disaster, United Way of Broward County is the primary agency for Emergency Support Function 15 (ESF-15) at the Emergency Operations Center (EOC). ESF-15 focuses on coordinating and facilitating the delivery of donated goods and voluntary services to support community relief efforts. If a devastating hurricane strikes, United Way of Broward County will begin raising funds for immediate local response, and its physical downtown location, the Ansin Building, can also serve as a Volunteer Reception Center. For more information about ESF-15, click here.
