United Way of Broward County Welcomes New Coordinator, AFL\CIO Community Liaison

FT. LAUDERDALE, FL – (March 1, 2011) – United Way of Broward County is proud to announce Quettia Isoff as its new AFL/CIO Community Liaison Coordinator. In this role, Isoff is responsible for supporting regional organized labor efforts and fundraising through workplace campaigns, sponsorships, corporate gifts, and leadership giving.

“We are thrilled to have Quettia on staff as our new AFL/CIO Community Liaison, she is a perfect fit with United Way of Broward County,” said Jennifer O’Flannery Anderson, Ph.D. “She has the knowledge, enthusiasm and union expertise needed to help us strengthen our relationships with Broward County union workers and communicate the tremendous impact that United Way has on our community.”

As part of the development team, Isoff will create awareness for the organization and its funded agencies among the nearly 100,000 unionized employees within the community. She will also promote United Way of Broward County workplace campaigns to local labor unions. These campaigns provide opportunities for community building, employee enrichment and volunteerism.

Isoff comes to United Way of Broward County with several years of union experience as a Union Organizer/Team Lead/Labor Relations Consultant (SEIU) with Service Employees International Union (SEIU) in Washington, D.C. Prior to her position, Isoff worked as Training Manager for Girl Scouts of South East Florida. Isoff earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Palm Beach Atlantic University, majoring in Organizational Management with minors in Human Resource Management and Organizational Behavior.
