United Way of Broward County announced today the commencement of an active CEO search for the organization. A search committee has been established and is comprised of United Way of Broward County board members and community leaders. In the interim, the organization will be led by Howard Bakalar, Senior Vice President, Chief Program Officer of Community Impact and Dan Kearns, Senior Vice President, Operations and Chief Financial Officer.
United Way of Broward County has hired the executive search firm Diversified Search to spearhead the CEO search. The organization’s goal is to hire the new CEO in the first quarter of 2012. The search firm will actively look for candidates for the role and will also screen applicants who express interest. The top candidates selected by the search firm will be interviewed by United Way’s search committee.
