United Way of Broward County’s Women’s Leadership Council members will host its Inaugural Magnolia Luncheon presented by Broward Health on Tuesday, November 8 at the Hyatt Regency Pier Sixty-Six from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. The event will celebrate women veterans, honor the Magnolia Corporate Philanthropy Award recipients JM Family Enterprises, Inc. Women’s Leadership Donors and Magnolia Lifetime Achievement Award recipient Susie Levan.

20th Annual Day of Caring Presented by Memorial Healthcare System - Great Success

More than 1,000 volunteers transformed the Susan B. Anthony Recovery Center on Friday, October 21 for United Way of Broward County’s 20th Annual Day of Caring presented by Memorial Healthcare System. The day-long project consisted of painting 40 resident apartments and administration building, planting more than 100 trees and numerous shrubs, painting beautiful murals, and much more. Broward County Mayor Sue Gunzburger was the Honorary Day of Caring Chair.

Empowering Effective Teachers Task Force Hosts Education Town Hall

More than 160 gathered at United Way of Broward County’s Empowering Effective Teachers Task Force Education Town Hall at Nova Southeastern University’s Rose and Alfred Miniaci Performing Arts Center last week. Local educators, parents, community leaders and elected officials participated in a community conversation to discuss ways to support public education in Broward County.

Florida Panthers Opening Night Benefiting United Way of Broward County

United Way of Broward County benefits from select group ticket sales of the Florida Panthers opening night home game against the Tampa Bay Lightning on Saturday, October 15 at 7:30 p.m. at the BankAtlantic Center. United Way of Broward County will receive $10 for each lower level ticket and $5 from each upper level ticket purchased through the Panthers’ group sales department and Group Sales Director Mackie Feierstein.
