FT. LAUDERDALE, FL – (March 10, 2011) – After an extensive planning and writing process, the United Way of Broward County Commission on Substance Abuse (UWBCCSA) was awarded a substance abuse prevention contract from the local Department of Children and Families (Circuit 17). The programming provided by the $5.2 million contract will span three and a half years. The United Way of Broward County Commission on Substance Abuse will oversee, administer and manage the funds to be distributed to 12 partner agencies in efforts to reduce alcohol abuse among youth and adults in the community.
