United Way Launches New Website to Support Local Parents and Teachers

United Way of Broward County has launched a new website, Broward Teachers Rock (www.BrowardTeachersRock.org) to support local teachers and parents. The new site is an online community conference table where visitors can find valuable resources, information on important education issues, share stories about great teachers, and participate in live forums to become better advocates for our children’s education.

Young Leaders Society Hosts First Annual "Rock United" Epic Battle of Bands

Commission on Substance Abuse Awarded Florida Partnership for Success Funding

United Way of Broward County’s Commission on Substance Abuse is one of only six coalitions across the state awarded funding for the Florida Partnership for Success (FPS) to be used for substance abuse prevention programming. The FPS is a grant program funded by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) and administered by the Florida Department of Children and Families.
