Governance
United Way of Broward County is a volunteer driven, community-based, nonprofit organization with a mission to improve the lives of individuals and families in Broward County. UWBC is overseen by a Board of Directors comprised of community and business leaders. The organization unites the resources of donors, volunteers and agencies to identify and target the community's most pressing needs and create measurable results that have the greatest impact.
United Way of Broward County's Commission on Substance Abuse is directed by a Board of Governors who help to create positive lasting change in the fields of substance abuse/use and addiction. We also rely on the knowledge of volunteers, donors and agencies through the Board of Ambassadors and Community Advisory Council who represent a diverse cross-section of our community.
