United Way of Broward Supporters Enjoy A Tasteful Affair to Raise Money for Community

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL – (May 6, 2010) – Nearly 400 food and wine enthusiasts from across South Florida attended United Way of Broward County’s exclusive food and wine event, “A Tasteful Affair,” presented by Premier Beverage at the Hyatt Regency Pier 66.

“The evening provided a fantastic opportunity for our supporters to enjoy the pleasures of food and wine while giving back to the community, especially now, during this time of economic uncertainty,” said Dr. Jennifer O’Flannery Anderson, president & CEO of United Way of Broward County. “We are so grateful to Premier Beverage our presenting sponsor that made the evening such a huge success!”

A highlight of the evening was United Way of Broward County President & CEO Jennifer O’Flannery Anderson selection of the winning ticket for a 2010 Holman Honda Insight Hybrid.  Donated by Holman Automotive Group, The car is an annual gift to a United Way donor.  The winner was a long time community supporter employed by United Way’s largest corporate partner, Publix Super Markets.

Participating restaurants included The Capital Grille, Himmarshee Bar & Grille, Sea Level Restaurant,  Grille 66 & Bar, 360 Degree Catering, Bravo’s Italian Ristorante, Steak 954 and VICINOS. Sponsors included: Premier Beverage, Broward Health, Comcast, First Path, Hays Companies, Holman Automotive Group, Hyatt Regency Pier 66, JM Family Enterprises, Lifestyle Magazine, Maroone, an AutoNation company, Memorial Healthcare System and Publix Super Market Charities.
