This year’s annual Mayors’ Gala theme is a Salute to Excellence. The event will focus on the life-changing work MISSION UNITED and its partners have accomplished over the past 10 years.

Since inception, it has provided more than 20,000 Veterans with supportive services to help them acclimate to civilian life. The program was recognized and adopted by United Way of America and is expanding to United Ways across the U.S.

MISSION UNITED is a critical program supporting U.S. military service members, Veterans and their families in Broward County by helping them acclimate to civilian life. Key focus areas include: housing support, employment services, education, legal assistance, health and financial stability.

Celebrating MISSION UNITED’s 10-years of Veteran support, the Stars of Service Tribute Wall is now expanding in the Jean and David Colker Center and the Veteran Resource Center. The wall displays brilliant Stars of Service recognizing and commemorating the dedication and service of our Military Veterans. As Veterans enter any MISSION UNITED building, they will be acknowledged and welcomed by this powerful exhibit.

Stars of Service are available for purchase at $5,000 each.
