Topic: Assessing Risk: Prevention Strategies to Reduce Mass Violence in Schools
Presented by: Anne Rambo, Ph.D., LMFT

To date, through 2021, the United States has had 288 mass school shootings; for comparison, the next largest number is Mexico with 8. This workshop discusses the various factors which create a unique risk environment for mass school violence in this country, as well as specific mental health prevention and intervention strategies to make our schools safer. Attendees will be able to identify useful interventions to address red flags as well as prevention strategies to foster a more positive school and community climate.
