Red Ribbon Week

About the Event

October is National Substance Abuse Prevention Month

Broward County Public Schools and Choose Peace/Stop Violence celebrates Red Ribbon Week Oct. 23-31. This year's theme is "Be Happy. Be Brave. Be Drug Free."

Red Ribbon Week is the nation’s oldest and largest drug prevention program and reaches millions of Americans each year from October 23rd to October 31st in thousands of schools, communities and drug abuse prevention organizations. The Red Ribbon Anti-Drug Campaign is a community’s response to tragedy to honor Special Agent KiKi Camarena’s memory and visibly show a dedication to avoid drug abuse.

Join this year's activities by participating in the Red Ribbon Week Theme Contest and the Red Ribbon Week Photo Contest, as well as by wearing red on Friday 10/30/2020.
