Join Our Fight
for social justice
For more than 80 years, United Way of Broward County has been committed to fighting for the health, education and financial stability of every person in our community. As a part of that commitment we are also dedicated to social equity and inclusion as well as dismantling anti-Black racism in our fight for social justice. We encourage you to join us in this fight as we move toward social change.
We are leaning into the hard work of anti-racism and we invite you to lean in with us on our roadmap to diversity, equity, inclusion and anti-racism.
In 2011, Stanford’s Social Innovation department released groundbreaking work on the Collective Impact Model. Since then, United Ways across the network, including United Way of Broward County, implemented strategies to that would allow us to operate within this framework. Collective Impact requires broad cross sector coordination and this is even more so a requirement in addressing systemic racism.
