FORT LAUDERDALE, FL - (Jan. 22, 2013) – United Way of Broward County announced they are accepting Request for Applications in the areas of Education and Income through Monday, March 4, 2013 at Noon. To be considered, non-profit organizations must have a 501(c)(3) status. Funds will be awarded for FY2013/2014, beginning July 1, 2013 and ending June 30, 2014, with the possibility of renewal for two additional years.
The Request for Application and accompanying documents are available online at www.unitedwaybroward.org. United Way of Broward County will be holding two Request for Application Workshops on Tuesday, February 5, 2-13 from 9:00 AM – 10:30 AM for the Income applicants and 2:00 PM – 3:30 PM for the Education applicants. The workshops will be held at the Urban League of Broward County – Community Empowerment Center located at 560 NW 27th Avenue in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Attendees will need to bring a copy of the Request for Application and accompanying documents (including instructions, attachments and ratings) as hard copies will not be available. To register for the workshops, applicants can RSVP via e-mail to Eliza Gomez at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Questions regarding applications and the applications process may be submitted via email until February 12, 2013, by 5pm to Eliza Gomez at email@example.com. All responses to questions will be posted on the United Way of Broward County website: www.UnitedWayBroward.org, by February 15th at 5:00 p.m.
Cure Process (Items 2-6 only)
Agencies that submit applications missing parts of items 2 – 6 from the fatal flaw checklist will be notified by 5:00 pm on Thursday, March 7, 2013. Hard copies of these missing parts must be delivered to United Way of Broward County office by Monday, March 11, 2013 at 5:00 pm to cure the item.
