United Way of Broward County announced today that the recipient of its annual car giveaway is leadership donor, Kevin Cortina. For nearly 15 years, United Way has given a new car to one lucky donor thanks to the generosity of the Holman Automotive Group.
"We are very glad to continue our support of United Way of Broward County,” said Glenn Gardner, Vice President of Southern Operations for Holman Automotive Group.
Mr. Cortina was surprised at United Way of Broward County’s Fort Lauderdale offices on Tuesday, June 17th with the brand new 2014 Lincoln MKZ Hybrid. In attendance to present Cortina with the keys to his new car were Holman Automotive Group dealership managers, Anthony Judge, Brad St. Pierre and Tony Guerrera and Kathleen Cannon, President & CEO of United Way of Broward County.
"We are thrilled to be able to present Kevin with a 2014 Lincoln as a way of thanking him for his support of United Way,” said Kathleen Cannon, President & CEO of United Way of Broward County. “Kevin represents the amazing generosity that we receive from Broward County residents throughout the year. Without support from the community we would not be able to touch so many lives in need.”
Cortina, a supporter of United Way of Broward County, became eligible for the giveaway through his donation to the organization. Throughout the year, Broward County residents who donated a minimum of $260 (only $5 per week) to United Way were entered into a drawing to win a 2014 Lincoln MKZ Hybrid. Kevin Cortina’s name was randomly drawn from a pool of more than 10,000 entries.
