Job Title: Manager, Community Partnership School Hallandale
Department: Community Impact
Reports to: Community Partnership School Director
Status: Exempt, Full Time (Grant-funded)

General Description: The Community Partnership School Manager assists in the implementation of the Community Partnership School™ program in Hallandale Beach, FL. This role is responsible for leading a team, developing programs, and managing grant requirements in a school environment at Hallandale Magnet High School.

Primary Job Responsibilities & Duties:

  1. Responsible for fostering a positive environment and day-to-day operations of direct staff, to include staff coaching, supervision, and performance. Additional management responsibilities include recruiting, hiring, training, and development.
  2. Serve as the programmatic contact for school administrators and campus-based programs.
  3. Assist in identifying, developing, and implementing engaging programming that supports the collective vision of community schools.
  4. Manage data collection across the Community Partnership Schools (CPS) network of services at Hallandale Magnet High School.

Other Job Duties:

  1. Demonstrate understanding of high-needs communities and knowledge of community organizing principles.
  2. Build rapport with teachers, staff, parents, and community members to be an advocate for student and community needs.
  3. Maintain accurate and complete student participation and engagement data.
  4. Develop a volunteer network to support community schools.

Education Skills and Experience Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in an Education, Human Services, or Social Services related field and four years of combined experience in community outreach OR
    Graduation from an accredited college or university with an Associate’s degree in an Education, Human Services, or Social Services related field and eight years of combined experience in community outreach.
  • Ten years of experience in children’s services, education, or community health with at least two of those years in program development and administration, may be supplemented for an accredited degree.
  • Prior Supervisor experience required.
  • Proficiency required in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task with a flexible, organized, and can-do attitude.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English required; Bilingual preferred).

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience leading programs or project management.

General Description

The Director of Business Development & Corporate Engagement is responsible for identifying, cultivating, and managing strategic relationships with corporate partners to advance United Way Broward’s mission. This role focuses on workplace campaigns, corporate philanthropy, sponsorships, and new business development, while supporting innovative initiatives that deepen community impact and revenue growth. The Director works collaboratively with leadership and development staff to achieve fundraising goals and strengthen corporate partnerships.

Essential Job Responsibilities & Duties

  1. Provides leadership, coaching, supervision, training, and professional development for assigned staff and annual fundraising and campaign goals.

  2. Works collaboratively with the Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) and senior management to recruit and support top community leaders serving as development committee volunteers.

  3. Provides leadership support to the CSO, senior management, and development officers in securing contributions for the annual campaign, special initiatives, and custom giving interests of corporate and individual donors.

  4. Analyzes market trends and donor data to inform strategies for corporate engagement and revenue growth.

  5. Monitors and reports progress toward development goals by identifying new corporate partnerships, sponsorship opportunities, and innovative funding streams aligned with organizational priorities.

  6. Serves as an ambassador for United Way Broward by representing the organization at public events, private meetings, and community functions.

• Responsible for identifying workplace campaign strategies, special revenue projects, and opportunities.

Job Title: Major Gifts Officer
Department: Major Gifts (Development)
Reports to: Director, Major Gifts

General Description:

In collaboration with the Major Gifts team, the Major Gifts Officer (MGO) will be responsible for helping United Way of Broward County (UWBC) reach its fundraising goals by identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding major gifts. MGO will work closely with the Director, Major Gifts (DMG) to cultivate donors and prospects within the Major Gifts revenue streams: transformational giving, major gifts of $10k plus, planned giving, foundations, and capital campaign. In addition, the MGO will develop strong Donor Relations through individual and collective outreach, communication, and events to ensure retention and promote increased giving. Responsibilities will also include supporting the coordination and leadership of the Major Gift and Legacy committees. A portfolio of major gift donors and prospects must be individually maintained.

Primary Job Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Implement the overall Major Gifts strategy developed by DMG.
    Identify, engage and re-engage donors, particularly those emerging as the next generation of potential philanthropic leaders.
  • Conduct individually tailored, one-on-one cultivation and solicitation meetings and work with appropriate volunteers to strategize and manage their cultivation and solicitation of targeted donors.
  • Identify and solicit new major gifts.
  • Connect United Way Staff and Board of Directors to new and/or prospective Tocqueville Society members.
  • Cultivate, steward and build trusted relationships with a portfolio of major donors and prospective major donors and legacy giving prospects to generate new and increased giving.
  • Effectively develop, organize, manage, support and motivate a volunteer team to aid in the identification, cultivation and solicitation of high capacity donors and prospective donors.
  • Develop meaningful ways to engage major gift donors and prospects throughout the year including personal visits, executing unique events and volunteer opportunities to connect our members to the work United Way is doing in Broward County.
  • Partner with Major Gift and Development colleagues, for identification of prospects
  • Create and implement a stewardship and recognition plan, including thanking donors, events and leadership registry.

  • Maintains confidentiality of all materials, and uses judgment and tact in dealing with internal and external inquiries.
  • Understand the United Way of Broward concept, mission, purpose, philosophy and background to handle routine calls from public in an effective and diplomatic way.
