General Description: The Community Partnership School Manager assists in the implementation of the Community Partnership School™ program in Hallandale Beach, FL. This role is responsible for leading a team, developing programs, and managing grant requirements in a school environment at Hallandale Magnet High School.
Primary Job Responsibilities & Duties:
- Responsible for fostering a positive environment and day-to-day operations of direct staff, to include staff coaching, supervision, and performance. Additional management responsibilities include recruiting, hiring, training, and development.
- Serve as the programmatic contact for school administrators and campus-based programs.
- Assist in identifying, developing, and implementing engaging programming that supports the collective vision of community schools.
- Manage data collection across the Community Partnership Schools (CPS) network of services at Hallandale Magnet High School.

Job Title: Major Gifts Officer

General Description:
In collaboration with the Major Gifts team, the Major Gifts Officer (MGO) will be responsible for helping United Way of Broward County (UWBC) reach its fundraising goals by identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding major gifts. MGO will work closely with the Director, Major Gifts (DMG) to cultivate donors and prospects within the Major Gifts revenue streams: transformational giving, major gifts of $10k plus, planned giving, foundations, and capital campaign. In addition, the MGO will develop strong Donor Relations through individual and collective outreach, communication, and events to ensure retention and promote increased giving. Responsibilities will also include supporting the coordination and leadership of the Major Gift and Legacy committees. A portfolio of major gift donors and prospects must be individually maintained.
Primary Job Responsibilities & Duties:
- Implement the overall Major Gifts strategy developed by DMG.
Identify, engage and re-engage donors, particularly those emerging as the next generation of potential philanthropic leaders. - Conduct individually tailored, one-on-one cultivation and solicitation meetings and work with appropriate volunteers to strategize and manage their cultivation and solicitation of targeted donors.
- Identify and solicit new major gifts.
- Connect United Way Staff and Board of Directors to new and/or prospective Tocqueville Society members.
- Cultivate, steward and build trusted relationships with a portfolio of major donors and prospective major donors and legacy giving prospects to generate new and increased giving.
- Effectively develop, organize, manage, support and motivate a volunteer team to aid in the identification, cultivation and solicitation of high capacity donors and prospective donors.

Has the primary duty of coordinating and leading the day-to-day operations of the Coalition team. Responsible for the supervision, coaching, training and development of their direct reports. Responsible for the development, execution and management (including monitoring) of the Coalition Prevention Strategic Plan. Acts as a liaison between United Way Coalition on Substance Abuse and the Department of Children and Families (DCF) prevention team and FADA. Represent the Coalition, cultivates relationships with media contacts and sponsors, assuring proper follow-up to assure excellent customer service. Monitor relevant community indicators as it relates to Behavioral Health and Drug Prevention. Champion the Coalition research and advocacy efforts. Measure progress on key outcomes as well as working with community leaders to strengthen the community’s abilities to identify, address and fund priority issues as it relates to Behavioral Health and Drug Prevention.

Creates informational documents, gives presentations, and acts as the agency’s lead authority, both internally and externally, on Coalition Initiatives. Facilitates regular planning sessions and creates an information-sharing network among the Coalition committee members. Experience conducting research and evaluating data preferred. Experience in community organizing, program development, legislative affairs and/or government relations preferably. Minimum five years of experience leading large teams and managing state and federal grants. Strong fiscal/budgeting experience required. Supervisory experience working with mid-size to large teams required. Bilingual in Spanish and/or Creole strongly desired. Proficiency required in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) required.
