MU Backpack Drive

Backpack Broward Drive: Supporting Military Families

 

United Way Broward's MISSION UNITED launched the 2025 Backpack Broward Drive to support children of military families with essential school supplies. Thanks to generous community donations, over 600 fully stocked backpacks were distributed to veterans and active-duty families across Broward County, giving students the tools they need for a successful school year.

United Way Broward x The Jim Moran Foundation

 

United Way Broward is proud to receive a $300,000 grant from The Jim Moran Foundation to support Project Lifeline, a vital hunger-relief program providing nutritious food to families and individuals in Broward County. This generous funding helps supply fresh and shelf-stable foods to local food banks, ensuring community members facing food insecurity have reliable access to healthy meals.
