We’re seeking dedicated volunteers to help with the sorting, packing, and distribution of food boxes to individuals and families affected by the government shutdown. Volunteers will assist in organizing donated food items, assembling food boxes with care, and ensuring they reach those in need efficiently and respectfully. This hands-on opportunity is perfect for anyone who wants to make a direct impact and bring relief to neighbors facing temporary hardship.

Role: Food Sorting, Packing, and Distribution Volunteer
Location: United Way Broward | Ansin Building, 1300 S Andrews Ave, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33316
Date/Times: Thursday, October 30th

1st shift: 8:30 am – 12:00 pm (packing, sorting)

2nd shift: 12:00 pm – 3:30 pm (distributing food boxes)
Requirements:

Ability to lift light to moderate boxes (up to 25 lbs)

Comfortable working outdoors in a team setting
