Ken and Cathy Bierman – Donors, Volunteers, Live United… Forever Legacy Donors

Ken%20and%20Cathy%20Bierman.pngKen and Cathy Bierman have been supporting United Way of Broward County for 20 years. In those 20 years, Ken has served as the Chair of the Alexis De Tocqueville committee and just recently became Chair of the Legacy Committee. “United Way of Broward County is a place I wanted to make my home. Once Kathleen Cannon came on board as CEO just about 10 years ago was a turning point for both Cathy and me. She is so dynamic and her enthusiasm rubs off on you” shares Ken.

In addition to supporting local community needs by making an annual donation to United Way of Broward County, the Bierman’s decided to make a gift that would go beyond their lifetimes. They made arrangements in their estate plans to leave a legacy through United Way of Broward County’s Live United…Forever fund.

“There is a concept in Judaism, Tikkun Olam which means repair the world. This is something we’re able to do through our legacy commitment to United Way of Broward County” says Cathy.

“When we sat down to focus on our estate plan we both wanted to do something to make a difference. We decided that the very best way to make a meaningful difference forever and ever beyond our lifetime is to make a legacy commitment to United Way of Broward County’s Live United….Forever fund so that they can continue the great work they’re doing to improve the quality of life in Broward County for many years to come” says Ken.

In closing, Cathy sums up why they continue to support United Way of Broward County: “Caring should be eternal.”

With contributions as donors and volunteers, Ken and Cathy Bierman are joining in fighting for the Health, Education and Financial Prosperity support for education, health and financial prosperity of EVERY individual in our community, today and for the future, Ken and Cathy Bierman are making an impact that will benefit generations to come. And when they see their grandchildren following in their footsteps, they know that their philanthropic efforts will be carried on forever.
