Delivering Fresh Food Across Broward

United Way Broward is proud to partner with Planet Harvest, Chiquita, and Fresh Express to host the largest South Florida distribution site for the Fresh Communities Tour: From the Fields to America’s Cities.

On April 17, thousands of Broward County families will receive fresh, nutritious food—delivered with dignity, care, and community support. This large-scale, drive-through distribution will provide more than 5,000 fresh food boxes filled with produce, pantry staples, and resources to support healthy eating at home.

This initiative reflects a shared commitment to expanding access to healthy food, supporting farmers, and strengthening our community so families have the resources they need to thrive.

Volunteers are essential to making this effort possible, helping with everything from packing boxes to assisting families throughout the distribution.

This is more than a food distribution, it’s a powerful example of what happens when a community comes together with purpose.
