THE BROWARD PEACE POLE PROJECT

Peace Pole is a monument that displays the message “May Peace Prevail on Earth” in 4 languages. More than 200,000 have been planted around the world in over 190 countries. The idea for Peace Poles was conceived after WWII in Japan. The poles are handcrafted by The World Peace Sanctuary in Wassaic, NY, the International Home/Headquarters of the Foundation. Peace Poles are in many prominent places including the United Nations, the Pentagon and the Peace Palace in The Hague. Peace Poles are reminders for students and community members to think, speak and act in the spirit of peace and harmony throughout the year.

Since 2010, Peace Poles have been awarded to 47 schools and community organizations in Broward County
