Celebrating Black History: A Guide to Over 50 Events in Broward County
Show Your Support for Black History Month by Attending These Events
Since the first official observance in 1976, Black History Month has been celebrated each year as an opportunity for all to learn often-neglected details of our society’s past while honoring the contributions of Black culture to our nation.
It continues to be essential for us to set aside the month of February to learn about and spotlight the rich and varied achievements Black trailblazers and innovators have accomplished in the U.S.
Black History Month is a unique opportunity to celebrate the substantial impact and contributions made by the Black community as well as honor the abundance of resiliency, creativity, and excellence.
We’ve compiled just some of the many, many ways you can participate in Black History Month in Broward County, and we hope you enjoy the wide range of activities, festivals, musical performances, art, food, lectures, and ways to form community bonds available this month.
