When unexpected challenges arrive, our community shows up for one another.

United Way Broward will host an Emergency Food Distribution to support individuals and families who have been impacted by the ongoing government shutdown. Many households in our community have been without a paycheck for several weeks, and this effort aims to provide immediate relief during this difficult time.

Thanks to the support of volunteers and community partners, food will be distributed directly to residents who need it most.

Food will be available while supplies last.

Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers are essential to making this effort possible. We are currently seeking community members to help with several roles, including:

Directing traffic

Packing food

Counting vehicles

Assisting with food card distribution

Volunteer Shifts:

8:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.

11:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Food packing will begin at 8:30 a.m.

If you would like to volunteer, please reach out to Rebecca Mcguire at rmcguire@unitedwaybroward.org
