Backpack Broward 2024

United Way of Broward County is collecting backpacks filled with school supplies to donate to children in need from June 10 through August 2. Join us in bringing joy to children by helping them start the school year on a positive note with essential supplies.
Many families in Broward County struggle to afford school supplies for their children. To alleviate this stress, United Way of Broward County is asking for your support. Together, we can make a significant impact on the lives of local children and ensure they have the tools they need to succeed in school.
Two Ways to Give:
1) Make a Financial Contribution:
Your gift of $65 sponsors a child’s backpack filled with supplies and other essential items.
2) Donate Filled Backpacks:
Deliver filled backpacks directly to United Way of Broward County.

Office Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Please include the following items in each backpack:
- 2 wide-ruled notebook paper packages
- 6 pocket folders
- 2 highlighters
- 2 glue sticks
- 2 erasers
- 3” x 3” Post-It Notes
- 2 black pens & 2 red pens
- 5 pencils
- 1 pair of scissors
- 1 box of 24 crayons
- 1 ruler
- 5 spiral notebooks
- 1 portable pack of Clorox Wipes
- 1 box of tissues
- 1 pencil pouch
- 1 box of baby wipes
- 1 pencil sharpener
- 1 box of colored pencils
