Just as people trained in CPR and the Heimlich Maneuver help save thousands of lives each year, people trained in QPR learn how to recognize the warning signs of potential suicide, and they learn optimal ways to help someone get connected to resources. In this training, attendees will learn about the known signs of a person at risk — such as expressing hopelessness, experiencing depression, giving away prized possessions, talking of suicide, securing lethal means — and learn the best ways to care and respond.
