
United Way of Broward County Invites You to Join Us for an In-Person Training
Topic: Youth Mental Health First Aid

Youth Mental Health First Aid teaches adults who interact with young people how to assist adolescents (ages 12-18) in mental health or addiction crises. This in-person course covers mental health challenges in youth, reviews the stages in adolescent development and presents a 5-step action plan for helping those in crisis and non-crisis situations. Additionally, the course covers mental health topics such as anxiety, depression, substance abuse, disorders associated with psychosis, behavioral disorders like ADHD and eating disorders.
