BSPC is excited to announce its partnership with the Florida Launch Engage Activate Departments and Systems for Zero Suicide (FL LEADS) Project, a collaborative Zero Suicide grant funded by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration with University of Central Florida, University of South Florida, Florida Behavioral Health Association, and the Florida Statewide Office of Suicide Prevention.

Starting this Fall, FL LEADS will offer Zero Suicide technical assistance to BSPC organizations interested in self-examining their suicide care policies, tools, and trainings. FL LEADS will work with each agency’s leadership to review current practices and care pathways and provide personalized recommendations for Zero Suicide best practices that will enhance suicide care within the unique systems they operate.

On September 10th, 2024, at 11:00 AM, BSPC is hosting a Zero Suicide Technical Assistance Interest Session for FL LEADS to share more information about the technical assistance process and site visits and gauge interest from BSPC organizations. Of those interested, BSPC will select 4 organizations to participate in this free opportunity. For those interested in less intensive, less personalized introductions to Zero Suicide, FL LEADS will also share information about Florida’s statewide Zero Suicide Learning Collaborative and their foundational 1-hour Zero Suicide Workshop.
