Supporting employee engagement and employee happiness at our United Way can take many forms, and an additional example of our employee benefits and perks include frequent employee outings to build bonds and camaraderie with each other.

One recent highlight was an all-team event at Dr. Von D. Mizell-Eula Johnson State Park in Dania Beach. Despite the cooler weather in January, this fun day helped our staff get connected in a fun, relaxed setting. Activities included:

  • games
  • lunch by Bolay, with a donation of cookies and drinks
  • canvas artwork activity, facilitated by artist Constance Ivana
  • yoga on the beach, facilitated by instructor Karisa Famularo of the ATHA Yoga Shala Foundation
  • and much fun

These team events enable us to bond with each other, cultivate friendships, and show our employees how much they are valued.
