Lala lives with her boyfriend Eric at the encampment by the Ft. Lauderdale main library. She is currently studying cosmetology at the Barber Academy.
Unfortunately she does not have the support of her family to help her in her current situation and the lack of steady employment and affordable housing has forced her into homelessness. If she were able to secure a stable job that would not discriminate her because of her sexual orientation, she and her boyfriend would be able to move into an apartment to call their home and continue their lives together.
