Backpack Broward Distribution for Veterans and Their Families
United Way Broward's MISSION UNITED is proud to host Backpack Broward, an annual community initiative that provides backpacks filled with essential school supplies to children of Veterans across Broward County.
As families prepare for a new school year, Backpack Broward helps ensure students have the tools they need to walk into the classroom ready to learn, grow, and succeed. Through the generosity of our community, we are able to support local Veteran families and help ease the financial burden of back-to-school expenses.
Register to Receive a Backpack
Eligible Veteran families are invited to register their child or children to receive a backpack filled with school supplies.
Distribution Date: Wednesday, July 29, 2026
Time: 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Please bring your Military ID at pickup.

Make a Financial Contribution
A gift of $75 sponsors one backpack filled with school supplies and other essential items for a child of a Veteran.
Donate a Filled Backpack
Community members, businesses, and organizations are invited to donate new backpacks filled with school supplies. Filled backpacks can be dropped off at United Way Broward's Ansin Building through July 10.
