Training Overview:
This interactive workshop introduces participants to the concept of psychological trauma and explores how trauma impacts individuals, staff, and the environments in which services are delivered. Participants will gain a foundational understanding of trauma and learn how organizations can begin shifting from trauma-informed awareness to trauma-responsive practices.
The session also introduces the principles of trauma and gender responsive care and how these approaches can be applied across programs and organizational systems. This training is part of the broader Trauma Responsive Learning Initiative, which aims to help service providers translate trauma-informed knowledge into meaningful organizational change that supports both clients and staff
Who Should Attend
The training is designed to be accessible to staff at all levels and encourages participation from program staff, leadership, support staff, and interns.

Participants will:

· Describe the impact of trauma on individuals and service environments
· Understand the significance of the Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE) Study
· Apply the five core values of trauma-responsive care in their work
