June

united%20way%20(105).jpgShe was involved in a car accident that totaled her car and left her unable to work while she recovered, which led her to not have enough income and become homeless.

She has been living in the encampment by the train station for the past 2 years and lives with a male friend who takes care of her. He is a retired police officer from Jamaica who suffers from a week heart, and her greatest fear is that something should happen to him which would leave her lonely and vulnerable to being hurt by others.

She has been beaten multiple times and has been raped at gun point. She has 3 adult children who live here in the States, but she does not have a current relationship with them. Her youngest son is currently a member of the armed forces and is stationed in Alaska.
