Bruce has worked his whole life as a painter and contractor and owned his own business. Three years ago, Bruce suffered a massive heart attack.
Soon after, his medical bills exceeded his expenses and the $60,000 that he had saved was gone. Bruce went back to work to maintain his living expenses, but soon after suffered a second heart attack.
After his recovery, he was unable to work and unable to pay his bills. Sixteen months ago he was evicted and has lived on the streets ever since. Bruce has had one other heart attack since becoming homeless.
