Amanda Misiko Andere has spent over twenty years working in the nonprofit and public sector as a leader committed to racial and housing justice through advocacy for systemic change. Prior to joining Funders Together to End Homelessness as their CEO, she served as the CEO of Wider Opportunities for Women, a national advocacy organization. Currently, she serves as board chair of the United Philanthropy Forum and board member of Equity in the Center, Bainum Family Foundation, Philanthropy DMV, and Leadership Fairfax. Amanda is a founding member and on the leadership team for the National Racial Equity Working Group on Homelessness and Housing and the National Coalition for Housing Justice. She also serves on the Leadership Council for the DC Partnership to End Homelessness and is a volunteer advisor for Fairfax County on their racial equity task force.

Jamira is an award-winning activist and international speaker. Currently, she is the lead for worldwide education strategic initiatives for a global tech company and founder of IAMHERETO. Over the last 17 years, Jamira’s work has taken her across the United States and 30+ countries working with collective impact teams representing business, government, and youth leaders to make equitable change by evaluating and reforming traditional institutions of power to enable safer, empowered communities. Jamira was recognized as an Obama White House Champion of Change and a Forbes Under 30 Honoree in Law and Policy.
Dr. Mimi Graham
Director Florida State University Center
Dr. Mimi Graham has served as Director of the Florida State University Center for Prevention and Early Intervention Policy since 1993, providing leadership to tackle policy solutions occurring in the critical period from pregnancy to age 3 known as The First 1000 Days of Life. She oversees a multidisciplinary team with a national reputation as a center of excellence in trauma, maternal health, best practices for court involved and human trafficked pregnant and parenting teens and home visiting including the FSU Partners for A Healthy Baby Home Visiting curricula. Dr. Graham co-founded the Florida Association for Infant Mental Health in 2002 and built a professional development network of IMH clinicians across the state. As a member of the Florida Supreme Court Committee on Children, she partnered to create Florida’s Early Childhood Court Initiative, an innovative approach to break the multigenerational cycle of abuse. She spearheaded a Think Tank of state leaders toward creating a trauma informed state and a compilation of a Showcase of Florida’s Cutting-Edge Trauma Initiatives. She was awarded the 2020 Florida Bar Medal of Honor and the 2023 Lawton Chiles’ Statewide Advocacy Award for Children.

While working with at-risk teens in 2014, Curtis sought new tools to engage and inspire them. He soon discovered Motivational Interviewing (MI) and quickly learned the power of intrinsic motivation and empathy. Today, Curtis operates Speak 4 Motivating Change (Speak4MC), a company founded on the belief that any person or organization can grow if given appropriate tools, resources, and motivation. Curtis is the son of a teacher, the husband of a social worker, and the father of an amazing little girl. Curtis is humbled to be allowed to speak with professionals who understand the power of learning and positive change.
Rev. Dr. Que English
Director Center for Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships
Rev. Dr. Que English serves as the Director of the Center for Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships at HHS and works closely with the White House Office of Faith-based and Neighborhood Partnerships. Rev. Dr. English served as the Deputy Director of Faith-Based Initiatives for the Governor’s Office of Faith and Community Development Services in New York where she identified opportunities to elevate strengths and identify new opportunities to build relationships with the faith-based community. She is the Founder and past President of Not On My Watch, Inc., an organization formed to combat human trafficking and domestic violence through education, training and community and policy advocacy. She received her Master and Doctorate degrees from New York Theological Seminary where she was the recipient of the Excellence in Ministry Award, the highest award given to a graduating doctoral student.

Dr. Myra S. McPherson is a licensed mental health counselor who holds a doctorate degree in counseling psychology. She specializes in Infant-Toddler Mental Health therapeutic prevention and interventions, teen-parent dynamics, and adult issues related to early childhood attachment trauma.
Myra is the Family Strengthening Mental Health Consultant for Girls Incorporated, Sarasota, Florida. Her work includes: offering parent workshops, creating and implementing trauma informed training for staff & facilitators, developing individualized family strengthening plans based on parental requests, 1-1 counseling for girls ages 5-18, offering healthy relationship topics for high school groups both at the Center and by request from the Teen-Parent Cyesis Program at Riverview High School, Sarasota, FL She is a contracted trainer for the Ounce of Prevention Program: Prevent Child Abuse America-Healthy Families Florida presenting two-day workshops on the subject entitled “Working with Families Who Experience Severe Mental Health Issues” which she wrote specifically for home visitors. Myra offers parenting classes, 1-1 counseling, and parent-child psychotherapy for parents of young children under age 5, at Our Mother’s House, sponsored by Catholic Charities in Venice, FL., which is a program for homeless mothers and their young children. Finally, Myra has a private practice in Sarasota where she offers choices of “walk and talk” therapy or in-home services to individuals and families.
