CBT for Suicide Prevention Training

This course, presented by Aisha T. McDonald, LMHC, provides a CBT informed approach to treating clients who are struggling with suicidal ideation. Clinicians will understand the CBT case conceptualization and learn to use the model to identify risk and protective factors, signs and symptoms for suicidality. Participants are taught how to apply CBT techniques at different levels of care, including outpatient therapy, PHP and residential treatment.

• Apply the cognitive therapy case conceptualization and theory to individuals experiencing suicidal ideation
• Implement specific CBT techniques when providing treatment in myriad levels of care for suicide assessment and prevention
